Agent lists anti-virus that is not installed

If Emsada reports an agent has an anti-virus product installed that is not installed, this can be caused by the missing anti-virus’s uninstallation not fully completing.

To fix this:

  1. From the Emsada agent’s details tab, click the Services tab then stop the service Windows Management Instrumentation.
  2. Rename, or delete the Repository folder in C:\Windows\System32\WBEM (this can be done on the device itself, or via the agent’s Command Prompt tab).
  3. Restart the service Windows Management Instrumentation.
  4. Restart the device (this can be scheduled from within Emsada using the Restart Machine At… button).
  5. When the agent next checks into Emsada the anti-virus status should correctly reflect the installed products.
